Boese Brothers Cherry Bomb Served in a shaker glass, Cherry Bomb has amazing glass appeal with it’s dark strawberry orange color, small frothy head, and murky body. Smells as you’d expect from a big wheat beer with the wheat malts leading the way while almost no cherry aromas are detectable. The initial taste is bitter from the hops which is slightly unexpected of this style. The wheat and cherry profiles come through strong in the middle. The finish is dominated by the cherries, long and tart.

Overall Cherry Bomb is a good warm weather beer however missed the mark for me a bit on the flavor profile. The high ABV and Hefeweizen yeast make for a strange mix that takes away from the cherries which should be the main flavor profile in my opinion. I’d recommend this hefe to anyone who loves fruit beers and or Hefeweizens.
